We are committed to the health and well-being of everyone involved with Youth Options.

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that we are doing all we can to mitigate risk and reduce the spread of COVID-19. We are making sure we are following the latest advice from UK Government, Public Health England, and the National Youth Agency, and will continue to adhere to current policies and procedures alongside our organisational COVID-19 Policy and Risk Assessments, which are available upon request.

Most importantly we remain dedicated to supporting young people across the county.

    Our Projects

We are still doing all we can to help young people in need. If you need support at this time, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Whilst we have resumed all of our projects and reopened our centres, we will continue to be vigilant and have put internal measures in place to ensure the safety of the children and young people we support, our partners, our staff, and our volunteers.

Where possible, services will be delivered outside and numbers on inside settings will continue to be monitored. PPE will be worn in indoor setting as appropriate.

** Please note that all our activities are run in line with Government Guidelines. As such, there is the possibility that services will be altered, postponed or cancelled to fit in with current advice and legislation. We will of course keep you up to date if any changes arise and refunds will be offered if necessary.**

    Our Procedures

Following advice from the UK Government and Public Heath England we will continue to ensure policies and procedures are in place to support everyone involved with Youth Options.

    This includes:

    • Educating our staff on the virus and proper prevention methods
    • Reiterating isolation rules to reduce the risk of infection
    • Emphasising the importance of proper hand washing
    • Cleaning high contact points at our settings
    • Running programmes inline with government advice
    • Keeping in contact with partner organisations to ensure we have the full picture within the communities in which we work
    • Adapting our services to fit in with changing needs
    • Working from home where possible

We have adapted our services so that all activities are in line with government guidance. Risk Assessments and procedures have been adapted and are reviewed so they continue to be in line with current changes. We have also implemented new training and induction procedures for new and returning staff. At all our settings staff wear PPE as appropriate and have their own hand sanitiser.

    How You Can Help

Youth Options prides itself on offering a helping hand to those most in need. The issues encountered by those using our services have not disappeared. Instead, at this troubling time they are now faced with another set of worries. We need to keep offering support to those in need, but we cannot do that alone.

Any support you can give at this time would be a lifeline to those in need. If you are able to help, please donate here.
