Neolithic Man Forest School
Children will learn a variety of Neolithic techniques used by stone age people to survive. Each activity will show another insight into the life of a stone age family.
Neolithic Fire Lighting | Using Neolithic techniques children will experience the difficulties of lighting a fire in the stone age. |
Neolithic Jewellery Making | Using Neolithic techniques children will create an item of jewellery e.g. shell necklace to take away. |
Neolithic Tipi Making (Den Building) | Using Neolithic techniques children will create a stone age tipi and learn how they kept themselves warm. |
Neolithic Tool Making | Using Neolithic techniques children will learn the difficulties making tools and the use of the tools. |
Hunter Gather – Bow Making / Spear Throwing | Using Neolithic techniques children will create a bow and arrow from natural material and learn how hard it is to use accurately. |
Hunter Gather – Woodland Walk | Using Neolithic techniques children will learn how the stone age person would survive in the world around them. |
Neolithic Musical Instruments | Using Neolithic techniques children will create a musical instrument and experience a stone age festival. |
