As COVID-19 takes a greater hold on all our lives, we have been adapting and changing to make sure we are keeping ourselves and others as safe as possible.
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last night, we have decided to close our community centres (The Hub and MP3) and stop all face to face delivery including our detached youth work. Instead, we will continue to support young people remotely, creating digital resources, and supporting children of key workers so they can continue to help their local communities.
By changing our approach, we are committed to not only adhering to government policy but to making the most impact we can now, not just for those directly involved with our work but for the benefit of everyone. The very reason we exist is to help young people in need; the way we are doing this may have changed, but our dedication remains.
We will continue to update our website and social media channels as and when the situation changes.
I would also like to take this opportunity to share the Small Charities Coalition Campaign. The charity sector is needed now more than ever, however without urgent help, many of these charities and voluntary organisations are facing imminent collapse. If you would like to support their letter to the Prime Minister asking for support, you can do so here.
Once again, I would like to thank you for your continued support.
