Targeted Support

Our Targeted Support

We understand that each child and young person is unique, facing their own set of challenges and possessing individual strengths. Our Targeted Support services are tailored to the individual needs of each child and young person we work with, ensuring they receive the guidance they need to thrive and support their well-being.

We offer a range of bespoke services, including one-to-one support and group support sessions, focusing on achieving meaningful outcomes. By working with the child or young person to identify their goals and develop strategies, we help them overcome obstacles, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Our team is passionate about making that difference by:

  • Addressing challenges before they escalate.
  • Creating opportunities for young people to thrive in all areas of life.
  • Inspiring hope and resilience through meaningful, personalised interventions.

The Challenges Children & Young People Face

They often encounter barriers that prevent them from thriving. These can include:

Emotional Well-being

Struggles with negative mental health such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.

Barriers to Education

Disengagement from school, difficulty transitioning between schools, or risk of exclusion.

Family Dynamics

Challenging behaviours at home, conflict, or strained relationships.

Social Issues

Isolation, lack of positive role models, or involvement in risky behaviours.

Life Transitions

Navigating adolescence, preparing for independence, or facing changes such as family separation and time spent in care.

These challenges are complex and deeply personal, requiring an individualised approach to create meaningful and lasting change.

Many young people we support feel isolated or overwhelmed, and our work provides a safe, nurturing environment where they can process their emotions, set goals, and achieve personal growth.

Family Support

Families also benefit through our Families Together project, a programme of therapeutic training for parents and care-givers, and youth and family support designed to strengthen family relationships and provide practical strategies for managing challenging behaviours. Delivered across Hampshire and funded by the Big Lottery Fund and Masonic Trust, this programme is tailored to help families dealing with issues such as violence at home, school refusal, self-harm, and substance misuse.

The course is rooted in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) training, equipping parents and caregivers with tools to rebuild connections, reduce conflict, and support healthier family dynamics.

We are also proud to offer specific support for service families funded  by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund, recognising the unique pressures they often face, such as frequent relocations, long periods of separation, and the stresses of the environment they live in.

Our range of parent and care-giver courses are tailored to your family’s needs (short courses to 10-week programmes).

Our comprehensive support to children and young people running alongside these courses.

Training packages for family supporters, school staff and other professionals.

Ongoing support for parents and care-givers as they apply the skills they have learned and navigate new challenges.

Support Young People Like Steve

Steve faced significant loss in his life, which left him feeling isolated and unsure of himself. When he first joined us, he struggled with self-esteem and connecting with others. Through our 1:1 key work sessions, Steve began to work through his grief, develop trust, and gain confidence in himself.

Today, Steve is thriving—actively participating in outdoor activities and showing a renewed sense of purpose. Thanks to donors like you, Steve is on his way to a brighter future, filled with hope and possibility.

Your donation can help more young people like Steve find the support they need to heal, grow, and unlock their potential.
