A Little About The Scott Centre Pre-School

At The Scott Centre Preschool, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children aged 2 to 5 can embark on a journey of discovery and growth.

Conveniently located within walking distance of Andover town centre, our Ofsted-registered preschool offers a bright, spacious, and well-equipped setting, complete with a secure outdoor play area perfect for exploration and adventure.

Our Approach

We recognise that each child is unique. Our curriculum aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and focuses on the individual interests and developmental stages of the children. By tailoring activities to each child’s needs, we foster emotional, social, and communicative skills, as well as academic abilities such as pre-reading, pre-writing, counting, size and shape recognition, and problem-solving.

Our preschool boasts bright and spacious indoor areas alongside a secure outdoor play space. These environments are designed to inspire curiosity and creativity, offering children the freedom to explore, play, and learn in a safe setting.

Beyond academics, we emphasise the importance of creative and physical development. Through music, art, and physical activities, we help children improve their balance, movement, and awareness of the world around them, promoting a well-rounded early education experience.

What We Offer

Play-Based Learning

Our curriculum encourages hands-on, play-based activities that develop essential skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. With our secure outdoor area, children enjoy time outside engaging in physical activities and sensory play.

Social & Emotional Development

We support children in building confidence, independence, and strong relationships through group activities and structured social interactions. Through playing, children learn to express their emotions, understand others’ feelings, and navigate social situations with kindness.

Family Partnerships

We know that parents and caregivers are a child’s first and most important teachers. That’s why we foster close relationships with families through regular updates, open communication, and opportunities for involvement in preschool activities.
